Before developing an app, you need to create it in AppGallery Connect.

1. Sign in to AppGallery Connect and click My apps.

2. Click New app on the right of the page.

3. Fill in the app information and click OK. The app information page is displayed.

Note:
After you click OK, if the system displays the message "The number of apps created by your team has reached the upper limit. Remove some and try again.", handle the problem by referring to General FAQs.

Parameter Description

Package type

Select a type as required.

Device

Device on which the released app will be running.

Note:

If your app is a large-screen app and you need to test it, submit a ticket on HUAWEI Developers, and then you will be provided with a remote test environment for large-screen apps.

App name

  • If you have created an app on HUAWEI Developers and want to migrate it to AppGallery Connect, enter the app name and select the associated app name from the drop-down list box. The app created in this way has the same app ID as that on HUAWEI Developers.

  • If you want to create an app here, enter a name consisting of 1 to 64 characters for the app. After the app is created, a new app ID is generated and the app name can be modified in the app information.

App category

  • App: common apps

  • Game: game apps

Default language

Set the app's default language based on the country or region in which it is released.

Add to project

  • If you select this option, the Project drop-down list box is displayed. A project with the same name as the app will be created and displayed as an option in the drop-down list box by default.

    – If you want to add an app to an existing project, select the desired project from the drop-down list box.

    – If you want to add an app to a project not listed in the drop-down list box, enter the project name to create it.

  • If you do not select this option, your app will not be added to any project.

4. Return to the app list and view the created app. Click the app name to go to the details page.

If you have multiple apps with the same name, you can filter them by device type.
