Payment Kit provides convenient, secure, and quick payment services, helping you quickly implement payment functions in your app or atomic service.
After integrating Payment Kit, your app or atomic service can launch the Huawei Pay checkout screen to complete order payment and display the payment result, allowing users to purchase physical products or services (such as hotel, transportation, and top-up services).
Payment Kit also provides user identity verification services, including real-name information verification, real-name information authorization, face-based identity verification, and e-CNY payment. By integrating the e-CNY payment capabilities, you can call open APIs in your app or atomic service to launch the e-CNY checkout screen for order payment.
In addition, Payment Kit provides the marketing service. After the marketing service component is integrated, users can claim platform coupons within the component and choose to use them during payment.
Shopping
After selecting products in an app or atomic service, a user can directly place an order and make a payment within the app or atomic service.
Integration scenarios: basic payment for merchants, combined payment for platform merchants, and unified checkout payment.
PIN-free payment
After a user selects a product in an app or atomic service or proactively taps the provided contract signing option, the app or atomic service can launch the Huawei Pay contract signing screen. After the user completes the contract signing, you can directly initiate entrusted payment when the user purchases products again, reducing the need for the user to perform operations such as opening the checkout screen and entering the payment password.
Integration scenarios: payment with contract signing and contracted auto-debit
e-CNY payment
A user tops up their call fee in an app or atomic service. After the user selects the top-up amount and initiate a payment, the app or atomic service launches the e-CNY checkout screen to complete the order payment and call fee top-up.
Integration scenario: e-CNY payment
User identity verification
Apps or atomic services in government, finance, and healthcare sectors need to check user information or verify the user identity when the user performs operations such as sign-in and reservation.
Integration scenarios: real-name information verification/authorization and face-based identity verification
Marketing service
For platform coupons, the marketing service provides the coupon claiming and selection component. After an atomic service integrates this component, users can view available platform coupon activities within the component and select claimed platform coupons during order placement.
Integration scenarios: coupon claiming and coupon selection
e-CNY: e-CNY is a general-purpose central bank digital currency (CBDC) provided by the People's Bank of China. It is operated by designated qualified institutions and features both account and value models. Based on a broad account system, e-CNY integrates with the traditional bank account systems, supports controllable anonymity, and has legal tender status.
Unified checkout: A checkout screen that provides payment collection capabilities for apps and atomic services in the HarmonyOS ecosystem.
User identity verification service: An open capability provided by Payment Kit for atomic service and app development. Real-name information verification/authorization: Based on user authorization, this service verifies whether the entered name and ID number are consistent with the information reserved in Payment Kit, or quickly obtains the name and ID number that have been reserved and verified in Payment Kit. Face-based identity verification: Based on user authorization, this service recognizes the user's face and compare it with the reserved one to verify whether the information provided by the user is accurate and whether the operation is performed by the user.
In the e-CNY payment scenario, the operating organization or handling service organization needs to complete merchant registration. For details, please refer to here.
Currently, Payment Kit provides three merchant models: direct merchant, platform merchant, and service provider. You need to select a proper cooperation identity based on the actual business model.
| Merchant Model | Description |
|---|---|
| Direct merchant | An operating entity that directly connects to Huawei Pay and uses Payment Kit. |
| Platform merchant | A platform that provides payment and settlement solutions for merchant transaction scenarios, mainly for online transactions of products or services. Sub-merchant: A merchant that registers with Huawei Pay on a platform and is associated with the platform merchant. |
| Service provider | An organization that provides comprehensive solutions for merchants, including account opening, payment integration, and technical development. Special merchant: A merchant recommended by a service provider to register with Huawei Pay and is associated with the service provider. |
Payment Kit supports the following payment capabilities.
| Payment Capability | Supported Merchant | Integration Scenario | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic payment | Direct merchant, platform merchant, service provider | When a user purchases a product, the merchant creates an order for user payment by integrating the basic payment capability. | |
| Combined payment | Platform merchant | Combined payment for platform merchants | With combined payment, a merchant can combine one or more orders from different merchants into one order for payment. |
| Payment with contract signing | Direct merchant, platform merchant, service provider | Payment with contract signing | After completing the payment, the user can sign a contract with the merchant to enable automatic fee deduction for subsequent services. |
| Contracted auto-debit | Direct merchant, platform merchant, service provider | Contracted auto-debit | A merchant can proactively initiate the process of signing a contract with a user to enable automatic fee deduction for related services (such as advance payment for utilities and automatic top-up), simplifying the user operation process. |
| e-CNY payment | Merchant registered by the operating organization or handling service organization | e-CNY payment | A merchant registered by the operating organization or handling service organization can integrate the e-CNY payment capability to complete payment operations such as call fee top-up. |
Differences between payment capabilities are as follows:
The main difference between basic payment and combined payment is that basic payment supports payment for only one order at a time, while combined payment supports payment for orders of multiple sub-merchants of a platform merchant at a time.
Basic payment and combined payment do not involve contract signing, while payment with contract signing and contracted auto-debit involve contract signing between users and merchants.
The difference between payment with contract signing and contracted auto-debit lies in whether payment needs to be completed during contract signing.
The development preparations for e-CNY payment are different from those for other payment capabilities. Integration development can be performed based on the integration scenario as long as the e-CNY integration preparations are complete.
