Integrating the Petal Ads SDK into an Android App

Once you have obtained an ad unit ID, you can integrate the Petal Ads SDK into your app based on the ad format by following Integrating the HMS Core SDK.

NOTICE

To increase monetization benefits, it is recommended that you obtain the location permission. The Petal Ads SDK checks whether your app is granted with the location permission. If so, the Ads SDK will carry users' location information in ad requests. With this information, the Petal Ads SDK can help your app to display ads to right audiences more precisely, improving your app revenue. For details, please refer to the development guide.
You need to use the integration method which matches the format of the ad unit you added. For example, if you have added a splash ad unit, use the splash ad integration method described in the development guide.

Advanced settings:

The Petal Ads SDK includes advanced settings for ad requests.

Set an audience to request the matching ad content. For details, please refer to Targeting.
Obtain user consent to determine which type of ads is to be requested (personalized or non-personalized). For details, please refer to Consent.
Set contextual targeting to receive non-personalized ads. For details, please refer to Ad Request by Contextual Information.
