Conference Highlights
Keynotes
The keynote speeches saw the unveiling of key development technologies, tools, and platforms, including HarmonyOS 3 Developer Preview and HMS Core 6, as well as the four proposals and three commitments regarding the security and privacy protection of Huawei Consumer Business. The overarching theme addressed was On Track to Map the Future, building a trusted digital world with global developers.
Breakfast meetings
Themed smart home and fitness & health meetings were held at Songshan Lake, Dongguan on October 23 and 24 respectively, and saw the release of Huawei wearable and health–related research results, as well as a fitness & health ecosystem map.
Tech. Sessions
A total of 47 sessions were held, addressing a range of hot topics, including the HarmonyOS ecosystem, smart home, smart office, and HMS Core, and involving more than 460 themes. Developers had the opportunity to exchange ideas with leading technical experts and other prominent attendees.
AR treasure hunt
Participants used Huawei's AR Map to explore the offline conference site, searching for "treasure" and experiencing firsthand the potential of AR gaming to bridge real and virtual worlds.
Codelabs
60+ cutting-edge technologies were selected from HUAWEI Codelabs, with expert-level tutorials and hands-on coding experiences. Participants also included elementary school students, who demonstrated an infectious curiosity for coding.
Tech. Park
This area consisted of five zones, namely, Smart Home, Entertainment, Fitness & Health, Smart Office, and Easy Travel, immersing attendees with key insights on the latest Huawei technologies and products.
Lakeside Talks
On the afternoon of October 23, Huawei executives and industry thought leaders gathered to discuss the HarmonyOS and HMS global ecosystems at separate talks, sharing key technologies and innovations in the burgeoning Internet of Everything (IoE) era.
CSR
A special exhibition in a dark room offered attendees the chance to experience the accessibility services provided by Huawei's smart devices and technical capabilities. From humanized features to considerate facilities, the HUAWEI DEVELOPER CONFERENCE 2021 (TOGETHER) was designed at every stage to ensure that it was as accessible as possible to individuals with disabilities.
Food festival
A number of stalls scattered throughout the main square, offering hot coffee and free snacks to the developers in attendance.
Music festival
On the evening of October 23, THE OVAL kicked off the music festival by performing Dream It Possible.
