Quick Tutorial

Before developing your app, you can follow instructions in the codelab to experience how to quickly integrate this kit into an app.

Development Environment

  • Android Studio version: 3.6.1 or later

  • JDK version: 1.8 (recommended)
  • HMS Core (APK): 4.0.2.300 or later
  • SDK and Gradle:
    • minSdkVersion: 19 or later
    • targetSdkVersion: 30 (recommended)
    • compileSdkVersion: 30 (recommended)

Description

1

Configuring App Information in AppGallery Connect

Configure app information in AppGallery Connect, including creating an app, generating a signing certificate fingerprint, and configuring the signing certificate fingerprint.

2

Integrating the HMS Core SDK

Integrate the HMS Core SDK into your app.

3

(Optional) Adding Permissions

  • If your app needs to read files from external storage, add the read permission.
  • If your app needs to use ARView or FaceView, add the camera permission.

4

Developing Your App

  • Fine-grained Graphics SDK: Provides basic instructions for using this SDK to develop an app with a variety of functions such as material loading, animation, and shadow.
  • 2D Fluid Simulation SDK: Shows how to use 2D fluid simulation APIs to create fluid particles, so as to simulate liquid sloshing.
  • Scenario-based Graphics SDK: Provides SceneView for scene rendering, FaceView for face-specific AR scenes, and ARView for other AR scenes.
  • SlimLOD: Supports model simplification.
  • Ray Shop: Tells how to build and adjust the acceleration structure and calculate the ray intersections.
  • Good Culling: Provides the culling function for 3D models that are hidden from view.
  • DDGI plugin: Creates realistic diffuse global illumination in real time.

5

Pre-release Check

Use the tool offered by Huawei to automatically check your app before release.

6

App Release

Complete your app information in AppGallery Connect, and submit your app for release.
