(1) Each Contestant can join only one (1) team.
(2) Each team must have no more than three (3) Contestants (but can include one (1) mentor who does not count toward this total).

(7) A team member can apply to join a team or leave a team.
(8) The score for contest submissions belongs to the team, not to the team members. If a contestant leaves a team, all previous scores will continue to belong to the team, rather than the departing member.

Requirements for Works
4.6 The Organizers reserve the right to change the test sets for the contest proposals.
4.7 Your work must comply with the following to be a valid entry for the contest:
(1) With prior express written authorization of holders, the work may use third-party game engines, middleware, open-source software, or code libraries.
(2) Each individual or team must fully comply with HUAWEI Developers Service Agreement and any other agreement clauses and terms applicable to Huawei services.
5. Requirement on Submission of Works
5.1 Contestants are required to submit algorithm results based on data provided on the competition platform.
5.2 Scoring indicators for each proposal
Proposal 1: Knowledge-driven spoken dialogue
Chatbots are often let down by their passiveness, which often leads to meaningless responses to user requests and limited information. That is why a dialogue system that is capable of interpreting messages and being informative is needed. However, this is easier said than done as information may come from different domains, and the samples are not evenly distributed across these domains. Worse still, a dialogue system may need to make complex queries or inferences to fetch the correct information from the knowledge graph. Another challenge is when users verbally make requests, which are converted to text using the automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology, the converted text often contains errors. Therefore, a dialogue model is expected to be more robust when encountering errors caused by colloquial expressions, as well as word and syntax errors in text converted using ASR, thus giving users standard and expected responses.
Proposal 2: Intelligent quality inspection of lane rendering data
When a navigation service is opened, the map background is generated through data rendering. However, issues with retrieving data may cause errors (such as missing edges or corners, and irregular shapes) in lane-level images rendered using such data. To more efficiently detect error data and reduce labor costs, an inspection model needs to be developed based on commonalities of such data, which will have a higher accuracy. We hope, through this competition, to explore talent in the computer vision field and boost the development of this field.
Proposal 3: CTR prediction through cross-domain data from ads and news feeds
Ad recommendation models are usually built based on historical ad impressions, clicks, and other user behavior data. If only data from the ads domain is used, user behavior data will be sparse, and the user behavior types that can be identified will be limited. However, if a user's behavior data in other domains from the same app is explored, the user's interests and behavior characteristics can be better identified. Of course, introducing user behavior data from other apps can also help enrich the data of user behavior characteristics and ad performance.
You are expected to enhance ads click-through rate (CTR) prediction accuracy by leveraging ad logs, user profiles, and cross-domain data. With ads as the target domain and news feeds as the source domain, you should build user interest models through impressions, clicks, and other user behavior data obtained from the news feeds domain, thus improving the CTR prediction performance of the ads domain.
5.3 Entries shall conform to the following requirements:
(1) Teams shall submit algorithm results based on the data provided on the competition platform.
(2) Prediction results shall be uploaded during the preliminary, and descriptions and training source code shall be submitted during the preliminary review & selection period for further confirmation. The file formats shall be as follows:
Prediction result for Proposal 1 (knowledge-driven spoken dialogue): result.json
Prediction results for Proposal 2 (intelligent quality inspection of lane rendering data) and 3 (CTR prediction through cross-domain data from ads and news feeds): submission.csv
Descriptions for all 3 proposals: DIGIX Implementation Instruction.docx
Training source code for all 3 proposals: Source Code.zip
(3) For each entry update, new DIGIX Implementation Instruction and Source Code files are required.
6. Selection of Winning Entries and Announcement of Winners and Prizes
6.1 Winners are selected by a combination of automated score ranking and qualified judges.
6.2 Selection rules
The preliminary and elite final will be held as follows:
Preliminary
(1) The preliminary will be held online. Teams, once set up, will be eligible to participate in this phase. The organizing committee will provide contest proposals, data, and automatic scoring results. Contestants should select any of the available proposals, prepare the required environments, and submit their works. The contest Organizers have the right to change the test sets for the proposals.
(2) For each proposal, each team is permitted to submit a maximum of four (4) works per day. Real-time rankings will be displayed in this phase.
(3) The preliminary is divided into A and B stages, in which two (2) different test sets will be provided. A real-time leaderboard ranking will be provided for stage A, while the final results will depend on the results in stage B.
(4) Stage B will be opened on the last day of the preliminary. You are no longer required to submit works for this stage. Your last submission for stage A as well as your highest-ranking submission for that stage will be used to calculate your score in stage B. Of the two (2) submissions, the submission with the higher score, which is calculated by using the scoring model of stage B, will prevail as your final score and will be ranked during the stage. Your final score and ranking during stage B will be released at 12:00 (UTC+8) of August 25, 2022.
Elite final
(1) During the elite final, all finalists will participate in an online competition and give presentations in person.
(2) During the elite final, each team is permitted to submit a maximum of six (6) works for each proposal per day. Real-time rankings will be displayed in this phase.
(3) The elite final will also consist of A and B stages. A real-time leaderboard ranking will be provided for stage A, while the final results will depend on the results in stage B.
(4) Stage B will be opened on the last day of the elite final.
Selection criteria for the preliminary and elite final
1. During the preliminary, each team should submit works based on these proposals and in accordance with all stipulated requirements. A total of twenty-one (21) teams will be shortlisted for the elite final, as determined by the automatic scoring system and feedback from our experts. If a team is eliminated during the review (for example, due to cheating), all of the teams below them will automatically move up one (1) spot.
2. During the elite final, the champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, and honorary mention award winners will be determined based on the real-time leaderboard ranking scores, evaluation by experts, and presentation results.
3. Presentation: Each team will be responsible for preparing presentation materials and giving a presentation to the judging panel.
