Q1: Why is EUR used as the settlement currency in my settlement sheet?
If you are a publisher registered in the Chinese mainland and have not provided a valid cross-border account to receive payments, EUR will be used as the default settlement currency in your settlement sheet and you may fail to receive payments. You are advised to provide a valid cross-border account in a timely manner.
Q2: Why do I receive settlement sheets issued by two different signing Huawei entities?
When you use Petal Ads Publisher Service, the signing Huawei entity varies depending on the business area. Therefore, if your business involves multiple business areas, you may receive settlement sheets from multiple signing entities. For details about the relationship between business areas and signing entities, please refer to Distribution Area and Signing Huawei Entities in the HUAWEI Developers Service Agreement.
Q3: Are the revenues displayed in the reports in Petal Publisher Center my actual revenues?
The revenues displayed in the reports are only estimated revenues. Your actual revenues are subject to the settlement sheets you received.
Q4: When can I view settlement sheets of the previous month?
We usually generate settlement sheets of the previous month before the 15th day of each month. After the 15th day of each month, you can sign in to the HUAWEI Developers console and confirm the settlement sheets of the previous month.
Q5: Why didn't I receive my traffic monetization revenue for a long period of time?
We will make the payment to the bank account you provided in the Merchant Service in 30 calendar days after you confirm a settlement sheet. If the accumulated transaction amount between you and a single Huawei entity within a settlement period is less than 200 euros, the settlement date will be postponed until a date when the amount reaches 200 euros. If the accumulated amount still does not reach 200 euros within six months, we will settle the amount accumulated within those six months. For details about the self-service settlement process, please refer to Self-service Settlement Guide.
Q6: The information under Developer center > My accounts > Debited on the HUAWEI Developers console indicates that the payment has been initiated, but why haven't I received the payment?
Perform the following operations:
1. Check whether the bill meets the payment conditions. If the bill for a signing entity (Aspiegel SE and Huawei Services (Hong Kong) Co., Limited) of you does not meet the payment conditions, the system will suspend the payment temporarily. After the bill meets the payment conditions, Huawei financial personnel will preprocess your settlement sheet and make a payment to you in 30 calendar days after you confirm the settlement sheet.
2. Check whether your payment receiving account information is correct. If your payment receiving account information is not set or is incorrect, the payment cannot be made properly.
If your registration place is not the Chinese mainland, check relevant information by referring to the following figure.

3. Check whether you have replied to the bank inquiry email sent by Huawei. (Some banks may inquire about the payment receiving bank.) If you have received a bank inquiry email but not replied to it in time, the system will suspend the payment temporarily.
4. Cooperate with us to solve payment failure issues caused by various reasons. All payments will be suspended temporarily before the issues are solved.
If your registration place is Morocco, you only need to enter the last 18 digits of your payment receiving account number. Then you will find that the account number is displayed correctly in digits without any asterisk (*).
Q7: The information under Developer center > My accounts > Debited on the HUAWEI Developers console indicates that the payment has been completed, but why haven't I received the payment?
If a settlement sheet enters the completion state, the bank has made the payment but there might be a delay before you can receive the payment due to reasons such as the use of an intermediary bank.
A settlement sheet still enters the completion state if the payment fails to be made due to a problem with your bank account or other reasons. If the payment fails to be made, we will notify you by an internal message or email. Ensure that the contact email address is set correctly, and check whether you have received a relevant notification.
If you have any questions, submit a ticket online.
Q8: Why is the amount I received different from that in my settlement sheet?
This is probably because handling fees have been charged by the intermediary bank or receiving bank. Contact the receiving bank for information about the handling fee rate, which may vary according to the bank policy, receiving bank location, and remittance channel. The payment banks that Huawei uses do not charge any handling fees, unless refunds are made.
Q9: Will the settlement on my monetization revenue be affected if my account is disabled?
Yes. Disabling a publisher's account will affect the settlement on their monetization revenue. For details about the account disabling and related issues, please contact customer service.
Q10: Why has the payment not been made after the settlement sheet amount reached EUR200?
Check whether the amount of the individual settlement sheet in Petal Ads Publisher Service has reached EUR200.
The details are as follows:
1. Do not mix settlement sheets of different service types.
2. In Petal Ads Publisher Service, the settlement sheets of Huawei Services (Hong Kong) Co., Limited and Aspiegel SE need to be calculated separately.
Ensure that each settlement sheet is calculated separately.
Q11: Why do monthly settlement sheets contain both positive and negative amounts?
Positive amounts represent settlement earnings, while negative amounts indicate deductions for violations. The net amount (positive plus negative) is used to determine whether the payment condition is met. For details about the payment condition, please refer to HUAWEI Developers > Petal Ads Publisher Service > Reports and Revenue > Financial Settlement.
Q12: Why is my settlement sheet still in payment processing state after more than six months?
This may occur because intermediary banks or your receiving bank may charge handling fees during the payment process, and such fees may exceed EUR50. If the cumulative settlement amount for a single entity within six months is less than EUR50, we recommend that you apply for payment when the settlement amount exceeds EUR50. If you still want to settle the payment, you can send a request to petalads@huawei.com. We will further review your request.
Q13: Why is the settlement repayment amount different after a payment was returned?
If your bank returns a settlement payment made by Huawei for any reason, Huawei will deduct the handling fee charged by the bank for the returned payment from your next settlement. For details about the specific fee, please consult your receiving bank.
Q14: How can I apply for a payment deferral?
If you need to defer payment, submit a request to petalads@huawei.com. Once your request is approved, the payment will be suspended starting from the date of request. To resume payment, submit another email request and obtain approval.
Q15: Can I change the settlement currency of Petal Ads Publisher Service?
Sign in to HUAWEI Developers, go to Console > Merchant Service, and change the default settlement currency under Bank information. For details, please refer to Join HUAWEI Developers > Console Management > Merchant Service.
Q16: In what currency is the payment made for settlement in Petal Ads Publisher Service?
The payment currency is determined by the currency of the receiving account you provided. Currently supported currencies are EUR, HKD, JPY, CHF, GBP, and USD. For details, please refer to Petal Ads Publisher Service > Integration > Integration Process > Registering a HUAWEI ID.
Q17: What is the proportion of bank handling fees charged for settlement payments made by Aspiegel SE and Huawei Services (Hong Kong) Co., Limited?
The handling fees are mainly charged by the receiving bank. We recommend confirming the exact proportion with your receiving bank.
Q18: Can the publisher entity be different from the receiving bank entity?
No. The publisher entity must be the same as the receiving bank entity. For details, please refer to Join HUAWEI Developers > Console Management > Merchant Service.
Q19: The settlement currency of Petal Ads Publisher Service is different from the receiving account currency. How is the exchange rate calculated?
Visit Xe: Currency Exchange Rates and International Money Transfers to view the exchange rates. For more details, please refer to Join HUAWEI Developers > Service Agreement > HUAWEI Developers Merchant Service Agreement.
Q20: Where can I download the proof documents that the bank requires me to provide when withdrawing money?
Download the templates of Huawei Services (Hong Kong) Co., Limited and Aspiegel SE, complete the required information, and submit a request through a service ticket or by email. The following documents are required:
- Original PDF of the Petal Ads Publisher Service Agreement
- Completed agreements
- Name of the receiving bank
- Your email address
The review and stamping process will take 30 calendar days. The result will be sent to your email. Please check. For details, please refer to Petal Ads Publisher Service > Reports and Revenue > Financial Settlement.
