Q1: When do I need to comply with the Russian advertising law?

Huawei publishers who release their apps in Russia and monetize the apps using Petal Ads (by integrating Ads Kit) need to comply with the law.

Q2: In addition to Russia, I also monetize my app in other countries/regions. Do I need to update the app packages released in all these countries/regions?

The app released in Russia needs to be adjusted to comply with the law. If the app is also released in other countries/regions but the app packages are different from that in Russia, you can just update the app package for Russia.

Q3: Do I need to perform other operations after updating the SDK version?

Q5: When do I only need to update the SDK version?

1. If you use only rewarded, interstitial, banner, and splash ad formats, you only need to update the SDK version to 4.60.301 or later.

2. If you integrate the native ad format and use the "Why this ad" (i) or "Dislike this ad" (x) icon provided by Petal Ads, you only need to update the SDK version to 4.60.301 or later.

Q6: When do I need to add a button to display advertiser information?

1. If you integrate the native ad format but hide the "Why this ad" (i) and "Dislike this ad" (x) icons provided by Petal Ads, you need to add a button to display advertiser information.
