Redesigned UI re-rendering mechanism

ArkUI uses the compiler to create specialized functions that bind UI component re-rendering with data changes at a granular level. This approach upgrades the UI re-rendering diffing algorithm from traditional component and element tree structures to a more efficient, function-based update mechanism for individual nodes. The result is a significantly simplified UI component tree structure and improved layout rendering performance.

Separation of logic and UI

With two-way data binding for page changes, the logic and UI are separated, slashing hopping from seven to just two steps. This separation also reduces the code needed for cross-device migration and collaboration by over 40%.

Stage model

The provided service extension mechanism covers more than 10 scenarios, preventing disordered app process startups and ensuring smooth background task execution. This maintains a steady supply of resources for foreground apps and ensures proper app scheduling.

Advanced UI component extension

The ArkUI framework allows for integration of C++ self-drawing engines (such as the game engine) through the XComponent component and enables HTML5/web rendering with the Web component. This streamlines development of complex apps such as games, cameras, maps, and browsers, making them easier to port.
