Preparing for Atomic Service Development

This section describes the preparations for developing an atomic service.

Registering as a Developer

On the HarmonyOS Developer website, you can register as a developer and real-name authentication to access various capabilities and services opened by the website.

Creating an Atomic Service

In AppGallery Connect (AGC), create a HarmonyOS atomic service by referring to Creating a Project and Creating an Atomic Service.

Installing and Configuring DevEco Studio

Download the latest version of DevEco Studio. For details about how to install DevEco Studio, see Downloading and Installing DevEco Studio.

Creating an Atomic Service Project Using DevEco Studio

For details about how to create a project, build an atomic service page, and create an atomic service widget in DevEco Studio, see Developing Your First Atomic Service.

Configuring Signing Information

You do not need to configure the signing information when using the Emulator or Previewer for debugging. If you use a real device for debugging, you must sign the HAP.

Currently, two signing modes are available:

(Optional) Adding a Public Key Fingerprint

When an application needs to use one or more of the following open capabilities, you need to add a public key fingerprint in advance to debug and run the application:

To add a public key fingerprint, perform the following steps:

  1. Apply for the application certificate (.cer) and profile file (.p7b). For details, see Debugging a HarmonyOS Application or Atomic Service.
  2. Add a public key fingerprint. For details, see Configuring a Public Key Fingerprint.
