1. App Information

When uploading an app, you will need to provide the required app information, including but not limited to your app name, icon, introduction (such as the full introduction, brief introduction, and new features), visual assets (such as the screenshots, introduction videos, and promotion videos), app category, language, content rating, contact information, and privacy information (such as the privacy policy URL and permission description), which should accurately reflect the actual functions and core experience provided by your app, and be updated in a timely manner. Details are as follows:

1.1 Your app name cannot exceed 15 characters when the default language is Chinese and cannot exceed 30 characters in other languages.

1.2 Your app name must not be a general, vague, or commonly used term that lacks uniqueness or misleads users. Do not use trademarks, popular app names or aliases, buzz words, industry terms, professional terms, category words, or feature descriptions, and do not stuff two or more keywords in a name. For example, "phone location", "flashlight", "calendar", or "video editing, watermark removal, and image editing" should be avoided. A unique, well-thought-out name that reflects its distinctive features can help users quickly recognize and understand your app, and enhance brand awareness.

1.3 Your app name cannot be the same as any other existing app name, to avoid misleading users or infringing intellectual property rights.

1.4 Your app name cannot contain placeholders, garbled characters, emoticons, or special characters, including asterisks (*), ampersands (&), hyphens (-), and brackets.

1.5 Your app name cannot contain marketing-related terms that may overstate your app functions or mislead users, including pricing information and alluding users to make money, for example, words related to free, promotion, big sale, 50% off, $XX, or quick money.

1.6 Your app icon cannot be a system icon that users may mistake it as a system app.

1.7 Your app icon cannot contain any misleading symbols, such as displaying a badge when there is no new notification.

1.8 Your app has one shortcut icon at most after it is installed.

1.9 Your app screenshots (at least three different images) and introduction videos must be in the correct orientation and displayed completely, and should not be blurry or deformed, or contain irrelevant content.

1.10 Select a rating according to your app content that marks your app's target age group and update the rating when your app's content is changed.

1.11 Select an appropriate category for your app that is consistent with the app's functions. For details, please refer to Categorization.

1.12 You must not change your app name, icon, category, or signature on an unreasonable frequent basis.

1.13 Your app should be localized, meaning app information and content should be translated into the selected language.

1.14 Your app information must be consistent with the app content and cannot contain any misleading, irrelevant, or inappropriate commercial content, hot search keywords, or buzz words. It must not claim to provide content or services that are not provided or verified. It must not imply or indicate the app's ranking or stature by using words such as official, authoritative, favored, or featured.

1.15 Your app must not mislead users into believing that the app and its content are provided by, or are somehow related to, a third party, in each of the selected languages. It must not use any same or similar logo, name or content that represents a government or other well-known entity inappropriately or without authorization.

1.16 Your app information must not contain names, icons, or imagery of any other device brands or mobile app platforms. Ensure that it is focused on the app itself and its experience. Do not include irrelevant information.

1.17 Your app information must not contain any content that is prohibited by applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to vulgar, sexually suggestive, pornographic, violent, horror, gory, and gambling content.

1.18 You should consider the impact your app information has on all audiences. For example, even if your app is not only targeted for children, it should not contain content that may cause negative effects on children.

1.19 Your app information must not contain any personal information, including account and identity details.

1.20 The actual icon, name, version, developer information, and content of your app must be the same as those you provide in each of the languages selected when the app is submitted for release.

1.21 If your app requires sign-in, provide a valid test account and sign-in information for the AppGallery review team to review your app.
