NOTICE
- To use the high-precision location capability, you need to comply with relevant laws and regulations. In addition, you and Huawei need to apply to related departments in China together for the license for using the high-precision location deflection plugin.
- Currently, the high-precision location capability is available only in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu, Tianjin, and Dongguan in the Chinese mainland. More cities will be supported in the future.
Location Kit provides capabilities for you to obtain the precise user device location quickly, helping you build up global positioning capabilities and expand your global business. Currently, Location Kit offers the following modes for accessing its capabilities:
- Android: The Location SDK for Android offers location-related APIs for your Android apps. These APIs mainly relate to the following functions: fused location, activity identification, geofence, high-precision location, log writing, coordinate conversion, and indoor location. This mode is applicable to mobile phones and Huawei tablets.
- HarmonyOS (Java): The Location SDK (Java) for HarmonyOS offers location-related APIs for your HarmonyOS apps. These APIs mainly relate to fused location and coordinate conversion. Currently, this mode is applicable only to Huawei smart watches.
- iOS (Objective-C): The Location SDK for iOS offers location-related APIs for your iOS apps. These APIs mainly relate to fused location. This mode is applicable to iPhones running iOS 9.0 or later.
- REST API: REST APIs of Location Kit enable you to initiate requests using HTTPS to call location-related capabilities, including GeoLocation (API) and IPLocation (API). This mode is applicable to web clients.

NOTE
The activity identification feature is not supported on devices equipped with HiSilicon Kirin 710 or Kirin 810.
Privacy Statement
When you download or use Location Kit, you should agree to and sign the HUAWEI Developers Service Agreement, Agreement on Use of Huawei APIs, AppGallery Connect Data Processing Addendum, and HUAWEI Location Service Agreement. Otherwise, you cannot download or use Location Kit. You understand and promise that your download or use of the kit will be considered as agreeing to all of the aforementioned agreements and you will assume the corresponding legal liabilities and obligations based on these agreements. In addition, you are obliged to inform users in the privacy statement of the app that Location Kit only sends the longitude and latitude to the app and will not record the information.
