To integrate HUAWEI Push Kit into your app, you need to sign the Agreement on Use of Huawei APIs, AppGallery Connect Data Processing Addendum, and HUAWEI Push Service Agreement.

To ensure that HUAWEI Push Kit runs properly, you need to select a user data storage location in AppGallery Connect. Topic-based, WebPush agent–based, and iOS app messaging will be unavailable if you do not specify the data storage location. If you do not enable HUAWEI Analytics Kit, the target audience messaging will be unavailable. For details about how to select a data storage location, please refer to Setting Data Storage Location.

HUAWEI Push Kit will collect the following data from you:

  1. Developer ID, app ID, and APK name. If you have enabled the message receipt function, the receipt certificate and receipt URL will be collected. If you have enabled the iOS push agent, the iOS certificate information will be collected. If you have enabled the WebPush agent, the corresponding key pair information will be collected. The preceding types of data will be stored on servers in Germany, Singapore, Russia, and the Chinese mainland at the same time.

  2. Messaging task name, message content, and application scope (specified by the push token, topic name, or user group name). Such data will be collected only after you create a messaging task in AppGallery Connect, while the task can be created only after you select a data storage location.

In addition, HUAWEI Push Kit will collect the following data from your users:

  1. AAID, token, topic subscription relationship, and device group relationship. If you have selected a data storage location, the data will be stored in the selected location. Otherwise, the data will not be stored. Message delivery record, token application record, and display, tap, and close dotting logs. If you have enabled HUAWEI Analytics Kit and selected a data storage location, the data will be stored in the selected location. Otherwise, the data will not be stored.

  2. Cached message content. Data will be stored in the location to which the client belongs.

  3. HUAWEI Push Kit serves as the data processor and you (developer) as the data controller. Therefore, you must describe the preceding information in your privacy statement or user agreement based on actual requirements.

Data storage duration description:

  1. You can configure the storage duration for cached messages and offline messages. The maximum storage duration is 15 days.

  2. Message delivery logs are stored for one month and you cannot configure the storage duration.

  3. Association relationships such as the topic subscription relationship are managed by you and stored for a specified duration (six months after device loss). However, you can delete the relationships as required (by calling the API for Deleting Data as a Data Controller).
